FROM SW 312TH STREET TO SW 296TH STREET & FROM SW 296TH ST TO SOUTH OF SW 232 STREET

CEI - Construction Engineering Inspection

SCOPE OF WORK

As a member of the RKK Team, Castillo Engineering provided construction engineering inspection services for the widening of SR 997/Krome Avenue from SW 312th Street to SW 232nd Street in Miami-Dade County. The $31.7 Million, 5-mile-long project included rebuilding and widening Krome Avenue from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway divided by a grassed median. The project will also include the reconstruction of 5 existing signalized intersections, a new signalized intersection at SW 272nd Street and Krome Ave, the construction of two new bridges over C-103 Canal, the demolition of an existing bridge, new drainage, the construction of new access roads for SFWMD, and new lighting along the entire length of the project. In addition, the project will also provide access management and improve traffic operations throughout the corridor.
