SCOPE OF WORK
As a member of the Consor Team, Castillo Engineering provided construction engineering inspection services for the SR. A1A Emergency Restoration between NE 14th Court and NE 18th Street Project. This project consisted of the restoration of SR. A1A between NE 14th Court and NE 18th Street after super storm Sandy caused coastal flooding in the southeast Florida region. The restoration included installing permanent sheet piles along the entire project corridor to preserve the road, constructing temporary pavement, desilting the existing drainage system, and installing signing and pavement markings. In addition, there was a beach sand restoration project by Broward County taking place concurrently. Coordination with the County Contractor and FDOT Contractor was an important element in the success of this project.

SCOPE OF WORK
As a member of the Consor Team, Castillo Engineering provided construction engineering inspection services for Four projects running consecutively:

- 17th St Causeway Bascule Bridge Rehabilitation
- SR A1A from Flamingo to Oakland Park
- SR 84 from MP 16 to SW 26 Terrace
- SR A1A/17 Street from Cordova Rd to Eisenhower Boulevard

Three of these projects essentially consisted of drainage, milling, resurfacing, signalization, sidewalk improvements, landscape, irrigation, guardrail, signing. The fourth project consisted of rehabilitation and replacement of the bascule bridge elements such as handrail, lighting, concrete barrier wall, painting/pressure cleaning. All of these projects have different Contracts, different Contractors, different Designers thus requiring exceptional organizational and multitasking capabilities.
