As a member of the WSP Team, Castillo Engineering provided Construction Management for the widening of Florida’s Turnpike Extension/SR 821 from four to six lanes between SW 288 Street/Biscayne Drive and SW 216 Street/Hainlin Mill Road. Nearly six miles of sound walls will be built along qualifying residential areas adjacent to the Turnpike. Work also includes realigning travel lanes, widening bridges at SW 137 Avenue and SW 112 Avenue, reconstructing the Homestead Toll Gantry, plus asphalt milling and resurfacing, drainage improvements and signage and lighting improvements.
